He specializes in working with clients to overcome complicated geotechnical, geologic and topographic conditions for major commercial projects.

Bill is well-known as a problem solver in Southern Colorado’s geotechnical engineering field. He is known throughout the region, state and nation for his commitment to quality and safety in the practice of geotechnical and structural engineering.

He began his career at CTL|Thompson in 1976 as a draftsman, when the firm had just 10 employees. He spent his entire career with CTL, establishing the first branch office in Colorado Springs in 1984 and serving as its COO until the recession of 2008. Today he is semi-retired but remains very active in the firm’s technical consulting and business development.

Among his many projects, Bill managed field investigations for dozens of small earth dams and their design and conducted governmental permitting followed by bidding, construction administration and field observation. He is the principal reviewer of nonresidential projects in southern Colorado and has been the project manager on facilities such as the Olympic Training Center, the Garden of the Gods Visitor Center and various expansions of the Broadmoor Hotel.
